This has got me feeling excited about autumn 🍂 and my hopes of finding a new rhythm and shifting into a new space…emotionally, mentally and physically. And thanks for the shout out! Almost halfway through 💫

Sarah somehow your words resonate ✨and there seems to be a theme for many in the comments with October being the month for new routines after shifts in September.

Are you happy with the kickstarter progress so far? Hope momentum continues during the second half 💪

It's great to slow down, pause and reflect on what works for you and what not. It's like a declaration of self-love. Enjoy the moments, Carmen! ✨️🍂

🫶✌️hope autumn is treating you well in Spain, Monica! I’m sure your experience is very different! I’m picturing beautiful sunsets and evenings at the beach after work haha ☀️

Autumn is nice here, but it cooled off a little faster than expected and we had quite a bit of rain. Not complaining since we needed it, but evenings at the beach rarely happen now. 😊

Sounds like the sudden change of weather we experienced here too 👀 just that it cooled off A LOT haha

Wow this is an epic autumnal post with so many beautiful ideas and insights, thank you Carmen. For me autumn feels like a time to find my new rhythm, September felt like it swept me by in many ways but I feel ready to find some sense of the latest shifts. And to lean into the fullness of everything, to move away from overwhelm with all that I want/need to do and deepen into the experience of it all instead xx

September was a whirlwind month somehow, wasn’t it? It really seemed like things were thrown up in the air like autumn leaves and falling into place in a new way that needed time to adjust.

Ohhh the moving away from overwhelm feels like a good reminder for me too. Thank you for reflecting back to me, Lyndsay! Xx

That’s exactly how it felt Carmen! I hope the leaves are beginning to settle now. Ah glad my intention resonated with you. It’s something that is a continual work in progress I find xx

This is absolutely beautiful; so many gorgeous ideas 🙏✨ I love the idea of a ’homecoming’; I really magical way to think of autumn.

Thank you David? What’s your word for autumn?🍂

I don’t think I have one…yet… 🤔🍂✨

Thank You Carmen. We all need reminding, Carmen. I have made selfcare one word, because I can. My five selfcare musts are Nutrition, Hydration, Sleep, Exercise, and Gratitude Infused Conscious Breathing.

So glad it resonated! Interesting you mention breathing, I often catch myself doing shallow breaths. I started a course to on breathing recently and have been taping my mouth at night for over a year to breath better - life changing!

Expand full comment

Two conscious breaths are a meditation. The trick is remembering to take them. Adding gratitude to that moment is what brings grace into audible range.

In ancient times, breath was thought to be spirit, I would not argue that.

Listening to one’s own breath is the gateway to reality.

well said and yes to breath being spirit, it's the sign of life after all

Oh wow, that really resonated with me. Thank you.

I made an autumnal vision board and that was so much fun! ;)

Love a good vision board and haven’t made one since early spring. Seems like a great reminder to make another one for the new season now. Love it thanks for sharing Barbs!

The line 'peace of mind over popularity' really struck a chord with me. It's a powerful reminder to prioritize our well-being and inner peace, even when it means going against the grain or stepping back from external pressures. Thank you for this valuable insight.

Yesss ✌️going against the grain for peace of mind is always the best thing to do. Glad my words resonated - thanks so much for reading :)

This is lovely, Carmen. I would like to start reading novels, continue writing like a free soul, and stop comparing myself.

Stopping to compare ourselves feels like an especially good thing to do. I feel you Shanjitha!

What a fabulous, seasonal piece - and thanks so much for the mention. I really appreciate it.

I am settling into a new rhythm as well now that both my boys are away at Uni - and trying to find a new pace that honours the life changes currently going on.

Of course, your piece was gorgeous and really resonated!

So many changes all around this autumn. Exciting times with uni for sure. While I’ve only been in the student side moving out, I know things shift in the home too. Xx

Thank you lovely! What’s your favourite part about autumn, Sekar?

It always takes me a bit of time to adjust and fall in love with autumn, I’m by no means someone who looks forward to the season but when I’m halfway through, I remember why people love it and enjoy it too. 😍😅

What a gorgeous honouring of this season! My words are Deep, Rich and Cosy… I love this time of year and also my body takes a bit of adjustment to any seasonal shift so I’m landing in it gently. Thank you lovely soul xxx

The words you chose for autumn really resonate Lauren! Same for me, it takes me a while to adjust to any new season, especially autumn and winter. But after a while, it feels more easy and familiar and I’m no longer resisting the change. Sending love to you! xx

Being okay with the way things are… wow. Good reminder. Because when we can’t change things, resistance only makes them harder, doesn’t it?
