So evocative and wonderful Carmen, I loved this especially seeing how your dreams became a reality on this trip. Thank you so much for your actual IRL postcard that made its way to me from your travels, there’s nothing like receiving a snippet from another world. And yes to the longing, it was such a strong feeling during 2020 and beyond… Italia is magic! Actually a place that is very much rooted to work travel for me but meant that I actually was able to experience it from the inside out with Italian client/colleagues. A very special place xx

Being absorbed in the Italian work culture and life through your experiences sounds fascinating.

I have Italian friends and used to live in a flat with Italians in London in my early years there but these bonds were woven in the diaspora so likely very different than nurtured locally.

Thank you for reading Lyndsay, I know your time is so precious! Xx

Excellent nudging, Carmen. As we grow older and the pressures of reality mount, we tend to end up dreaming less and less. We thus start losing the possibilities that come with dreams.

Persuasion as this one is crucial in encouraging return to this childlike nature. Life must stay where it began ... in the realm of dreams.

Yes life is best lived when we can connect back to childlike dreaming. Thank you for reading Patrick!

Oh, Carmen… You’ve described my thoughts and dreams perfectly. ‘We all carry a longing for faraway places in our hearts’ - this line is something special.

I love the word ‘Fernwah’ - my heart truly longs for travel and places I haven’t been 🤍

Thank you for this wonderful read!

Thank you for your share Jenna! I knew I wasn’t the only one with the longing for far away places, even if we don’t act on them, I have never met a person (even my cousins who hate travelling) who don’t dream of them xx

Oh definitely! It tends to be the basis for most of my poems 🙈 xx

I feel transported to Italy and can’t wait to return. I’m hoping to make a dream of going to a writing retreat in Umbria a reality…and this has made me want that all the more 😃

Also loved listening to your voice. And can’t wait to immerse myself in one of your meditations 😌

Awww thank you. I’m slowly getting comfortable with my recorded voice again xx

Such a beautiful reflection on dreams and travel, Carmen. And, after this post, I am definitely even more ready than I thought possible to explore and sink into the energy of Tuscan Italy! I feel unbelievable blessed to be able to travel and it is my intention to keep it slow and meaningful.

I’m so inspired! Thank you! xo

(Can’t wait to listen to your voice recording on my way to work today!) ❤️

Thank you for being here, lovely one and witnessing as I slowly emerge from my cave where I didn’t want to record my voice.

I absolutely loved your bluebell yoga nidra btw. Divine!

I trust that it’s only spring so things will shift slowly. Ive also been dreaming into an interview series for a year already… so much I’d love to create let’s see if this year is the year, very much working with the seasons here and some things take longer. Xx

It will happen in time… the seeds have been planted. Now just to treat them tenderly until they are ready to emerge.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the bluebell nidra. So glad to share it with you xx

The postcard got to Canada faster than to Spain?!... no comment there

I love to hear your voice, by the way, crystalline and sweet. :)
