Hi fellow lover of letters,
March somehow brought me to my knees – and I’ve heard similar stories from friends, colleagues, clients, and mentees. How has the last month been for you?
A slow emergence from winter, a wild whirlwind of unexpected chaos and exhaustion, or perhaps something in between?
My “regular” writing – promised reflections on female friendships part 2, an interview series & bold things, and updates from the community (a what’s on this month section every month)– will resume soon.
I seem to be in the middle of a season that requires true evaluation: what fills my cup, what fuels my soul, and what’s simply necessary to pay the bills.
This note sums up my internal world (note: I think I meant full in the sense of whole)
But today, on this gorgeous spring Sunday, I just wanted to share a short poem with you that bubbled up less than an hour ago as I was running in circles trying to decide what task to tackle first.
Instead of getting started with the dishes, I grabbed a pen, wrote that poem, and am now quickly typing a few lines for you before heading outside to enjoy the sunshine.
Laundry can wait.
Sometimes, we just have to ride the waves of creativity and follow its lead blindly.
I invite you to join me, forget your to-do lists, weekly errands, batch cooking, or whatever else is calling for your attention – even if just for a few minutes.
Step outside. Listen to the birds.
With love from the Bavarian Alps to you! Carmen xx
