Sighhhh that school experience is much like mine. I would overprepare for a presentation, trying to be perfect, and a classmate wouldn't even know how to change page on the projector, and would forget what she was saying, and would get sympathy from teachers and classmates and get my same grade. PREPOSTEROUS!

"I’m sure the idea comes across, I’m sure it resonates with those who needed to hear these words."

This line really resonated with me. It's a powerful reminder that our words and actions can have a profound impact on others, even if we don't strive for perfection.

Absolutely and well said Alexander! Our words will never resonate with everyone and that’s freeing because they will even more resonate with those who want to hear them

Love this! There’s quite a famous journal article amongst music educators called ‘The good “enough music” teacher’, and that concept has always stuck with me: “The concept of ‘good-enough’ is very apt, suggesting not some idealised perfection but simply moving in a positive direction” 🎶✨

Oh my gosh, this is exactly something I have been working on at work for the past couple of weeks! I tend to always want the optimal solution that just may not be possible, but I’ve been talking with my closest colleague about learning to let things be “good enough”. That I can’t always provide the most optimal solution or create the optimal situation - and that it is ok. I am working so hard on giving myself space and permission to let things just be and trust in the process.

I am taking this message from you as another sign to continue to work on this! 🫶🏻 Thank you! xx
